Short online courses typically require 1 to 3 hours of learning per course and consist primarily of video content and, in some cases, quizzes or assessments. They differ from MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses) in that they don’t usually provide the same depth of learning or offer social learning aspects and are more suited to the self-directed, independent learner.
